GOOD NEWS! Apparently, the problems of the threat of terrorism, the bad economy, the swine flu pandemic, illegal immigration, and the National Debt have all been solved because now the esteemed members of the House of Representatives are going to roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty and get to work solving the next big crisis: College Football. Never mind that pesky constitution. Who needs it? It's so old anyway, you know?

Edit by Wes:
So, here's what I want to know: by what authority is congress considering forcing the NCAA to implement a tournament system? Is it supposed to be a anti-trust issue? Is it an issue of so-called "fairness"? If so, is Congress going to investigate American Idol for giving Ricky Braddy the shaft?
I can't even blame Democrats for this one. I wish that I could, but this actually a truly bipartisan effort. That frightens me even more.
Please give us your feedback in the comments section because this absolutely blows my mind. Here are the rules though...NO arguments about the greatness/awfulness of the BCS system. This news story has absolutely nothing to do sports and everything to do with the extremely bloated power of the Federal Government.
