I understand that you are a part of a small group attempting to encourage the senate to reduce the amount of pork and increase the amount of infrastructure spending in the proposed stimulus plan. While I agree with your sentiment, I disagree with your principles. The fact of the matter is, the government should have NO effect on the success or failure of the economy other than to protect it through law enforcement and allow it to flourish by reducing taxes--even if it means that America is poor for a time. Imagine if the government had bailed out the wagon industry whenever cars came around! Please think about this before you spend any of my money. Thanks!
